Test<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Validate your hypotheses by testing them. Here are the most common test types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A\/B tests<\/strong> compare the performance of two web pages. Visitors are randomly split into two groups. One is directed to page \u201cA\u201d and the other to page \u201cB.\u201d<\/li><li><strong>Multivariate tests<\/strong> compare performance of multiple items within a page, like links, buttons, images, and placement<\/li><li><strong>User testing<\/strong> is a more qualitative analysis. Users are observed using the site and are often asked to verbally describe what they\nare thinking as they use the site.<\/li><li><strong>Surveys <\/strong>can supplement other tests.
