They sell their catalog of music directly through their ecommerce website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-challenge\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Marmoset approached The Good with the goal of boosting conversions for their desktop website and improving the browsing experience for both their mobile and desktop user experiences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Prior to the engagement they had undergone a sitewide redesign and made several major changes to their user experience flow. They wanted to validate that the changes that were made to their site had a positive impact on their conversion rate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-process\">The Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">To help identify potential conversion blockers, The Good began the engagement by conducting a thorough analysis of Marmoset\u2019s website analytics and user experience flow. In addition to completing a <a href=\"https:\/\/thegood.com\/audit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">full audit of their site performance<\/a>, The Good\u2019s strategy team conducted numerous user testing sessions to help identify website pain points, opportunities, and conversion barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">One such pain point involved the functionality of a distinguishing feature on Marmoset\u2019s website: a radio player that shuffles through a curated playlist of music while you browse their site. Our team discovered that although the sitewide radio player gave users a quick and efficient way to discover music, actions to guide users toward purchasing a music license were not being prioritized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-solution\">The Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">At the end of the research process, our team delivered a summary of their findings in a detailed strategy session. Based on information collected in the analytics analysis and user testing sessions, our team developed a detailed roadmap of A\/B tests to achieve the client\u2019s previously outlined goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Our team ran several experiments aimed to promote a more intentional browsing experience on both desktop and mobile sites. One of these experiments focused on redesigning the user interface of the sitewide radio player to increase engagement and highlight actions geared towards purchasing behavior &#8211; favoriting a song, downloading a preview, and buying a license. The goal of the test was to create a more intuitive path to purchase and encourage registered users to download or save songs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"814\" height=\"481\" src=\"https:\/\/thegood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/marmoset-study-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92712\" style=\"width:708px;height:418px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thegood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/marmoset-study-1.png 814w, https:\/\/thegood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/marmoset-study-1-300x177.png 300w, https:\/\/thegood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/marmoset-study-1-768x454.png 768w, https:\/\/thegood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/marmoset-study-1-610x360.png 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 814px) 100vw, 814px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-results\">The Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After less than a month of running the experiment, this sitewide radio test variant produced a <strong>69% lift in conversions at 96% statistical significance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The variant also produced <strong>114% higher revenue<\/strong> than the control. Additionally, the variant produced a <strong>12% lift in account creation<\/strong> \u2013 an indication that users were more likely to create an account as a result of the increased emphasis on actions that were reserved for registered users (favoriting and downloading songs).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote blockquote-30 is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Seeing the dramatic revenue increase in the short amount of time that the test ran really surprised our team.
